Welcome to the Fondren Library! We have many resources and services of value for Rice ESL students, including 2.8 million books, over 66,000 online and print periodicals, a large DVD collection as well as facilities for using computers, printing, and scanning.
The library has four public computer workstations near the reference desk on the first floor. Although you will need an access code to use these stations, there is no time limit.
Use the Rice Visitor wifi network to connect to the Internet from anywhere on campus, including the library.
You can print from the public computers to the REF printer located on the first floor.
The first floor has both black-and-white and color copiers for your use (NOTE: to use both the printer and copiers you will need to purchase a copy card from the copy card vending machine located next to the copiers).
Seven free, user-friendly scanners are located on the first floor near the reference desk. Several more scanners can be found in the Brown Fine Arts library on the third floor.
