Using ILL (aka ILLiad) to obtain articles or book chapters

**Always check first to see if the library has online access to the article or ebook* that you need.** You can do this by searching for the journal title in the journal portal and searching for the ebook in the classic catalog.

If Fondren Library has the article or book in print format you may request a digital copy (up to 50 pages per request) via ILLiad.

If Fondren Library does NOT have what you are looking for you may request a digital copy (up to 50 pages per request) via ILLiad.

Items that are owned by the Library, but that are currently NOT available, i.e. Lost, Missing, or At Bindery, may also be requested (up to the same 50 page limit per request) via ILLiad.

Login to the ILLiad portal using your Rice netID and password. First-time users will be required to complete a short registration form, but may then continue on immediately to place a request.

Please note: this service is provided free of charge to Rice students.

*At this time print books may not be requested for off-campus delivery via ILL.
