Woodson Research Center staff will assist you in identifying research materials relevant to your subject, whether in person or by phone, mail, or e-mail.

Woodson materials can be searched in the following ways:

1.) Detailed information about individual manuscript and archives collections can be found in the Woodson Research Center Finding Aids.

     Each finding aid describes:

• The person or organization focused on by the collection
• Dates covered by the collection
• Subjects covered by the collection
• Formats found in the collection (such as photographs, correspondence, diaries)
• Contents of the collection, listed by box and folder or by individual item

2.) Browse our archival finding aids online via the website Texas Archival Resources Online (TARO) or directly on the Fondren website at http://archives.library.rice.edu/. 

3.) Search our archival finding aids in TARO by using the Advanced Search tool and limiting it by the repository "Rice University, Fondren Library, Woodson Research Center "

Not all Woodson materials are described on-line; Woodson staff will be happy to help you locate materials.
