The Community Justice Exchange's National Bail Fund Network "works with community bail funds that have been established across the country to counter the impact of mass incarceration as well as those created to meet the needs of specific communities or in response to specific organizing actions."

Rice University and the greater Houston area have many groups working for justice in our city and community.

Rice for Black Life
Rice For Black Life is a Black-led coalition of Rice students, alumni, and affiliates (past, present or proximate) organizing ourselves and our resources to support Black liberation and the abolition of white structures.
Center for the Healing of Racism
The Center for Healing Racism is a grassroots organization. Since 1989, we have been facilitating the healing of racism through education and dialogue in a safe and supportive environment, in order to empower individuals and transform communities.
Houston Protestors' Defense Team
Their goal is to support activism and organizing efforts by providing FREE legal representation to those who have been arrested while protesting in Houston, Texas. Pure Justice
Pure Justice uses community organizing, and civic and electoral engagement as methods help reform institutions and systems that perpetuate social and criminal injustices, and to improve the lives of low-income and working-class families.
Restoring Justice
Restoring Justice is the only 501(c)(3) NPO operating in Texas to assist marginalized communities with holistic legal support, bail bonds, and trauma care. We believe holistic, loving, and client-centered representation by the local community is the only solution to mass incarceration.
Texas Civil Rights Project
The Texas Civil Rights Project is boldly serving the movement for equality and justice in and out of the courts. We use our tools of litigation and legal advocacy to protect and advance the civil rights of everyone in Texas and we partner with communities across the state to serve the rising movement for social justice. We undertake our work with a vision of a Texas in which all communities can thrive with dignity, justice and without fear.
Texas Organizing Project
The Texas Organizing Project (TOP) works to improve the lives of low-income and working class Texas families through community organizing, and civic and electoral engagement. TOP is a membership-based organization that conducts direct action organizing, grassroots lobbying and electoral organizing led by working families in Texas.
