What to wear for a video interview?
Overall, avoid clothes with bright colors and patterns. Choose softer colors instead.
Avoid white as it will be overexposed if the subject’s face is well exposed.
Avoid black if the backdrop is black, as it blends to the background.
Avoid a patterned tie, use a solid color. Cameras may have trouble picking up busy patterns.
Wearing a hat is not recommended as it generates shadows on the subject's face.
Blue and magenta work well on camera.
