Citations for doctoral dissertations from 1861 to the present. Some master's theses are also available. The full texts of dissertations and theses added since 1997 (since 1918 for Rice theses) may be downloaded.

Over 1,200 CDs (7,500 compositions) in the Database of Recorded American Music (DRAM). The basis for the collection is the diverse catalogue of American music recordings by New World Records. From folk to opera, Native American to jazz, 19th century classical to early rock, musical theater, contemporary, electronic and beyond, New World has served composers, artists, students and the general public since 1975.

"The electro:thèque web app allows you to listen to selected works culled from the empreintes DIGITALes catalogue and its composers. Here you can discover new recordings as well as some timeless “classics” of electroacoustics (electro:thèque)." Note: License is limited to five concurrent users.

The Music Index Online contains citations from more than 640 international music journals including history, theory, performance, ethnomusicology, education, and popular music. It also includes citations for dissertations, reviews, and obituaries. (1969-)

Indexes books, articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, theses and other literature in the field of music, from 1969 to present.

The RILM contains over 560,000 citations on international music corresponding to the printed RILM Abstracts of Music Literature. Approximately 30,000 new records are added every year, covering all document types: articles, books, bibliographies, catalogues, dissertations, Festschriften, iconographies, critical commentaries to complete works, ethnographic recordings, conference proceedings, electronic resources, reviews, and more.

This database draws its current content from nearly 400 international music periodicals from over 30 countries, and also indexes feature music articles and obituaries appearing in The New York Times and The Washington Post.
