The South Reading on the first floor offers a variety of seating options and standing desks. It also houses our DVD collection and newspapers.
The Woodson Research Center houses the Rice University Archives, rare books, manuscripts, and other unique collections. Rotating exhibits are featured at the entrance to the archives.
The second floor of Fondren Library holds materials in the call number range PQ2663 through TH, which includes fiction, science, medicine, engineering, and more.
The Brown Fine Arts Library is housed on the third floor of Fondren Library. It features a beautiful, artistic study space, and houses the art and architecture and music collections.
The Sixth Floor is a quiet study space with beautiful rooftop views of the campus. It is accessible from the elevator in the center of the first floor, nearest the West entrance. A Rice ID is required for entry.
Many of Fondren's unique spaces are perfect for working remotely or catching a quiet break.
