If you don't know much about the topic you're researching, the Encyclopedia Judaica (online or hard copy DS102.8 .E496 2007) is an excellent place to start. It covers Jewish history, famous persons, culture, holidays, rituals and many other aspects of Jewish life.

The purpose of this guide is to help you in conducting research on the Holocuast. It will give you a starting point, but is not comprehensive in nature, as the Holocaust (Shoah - in Hebrew) encompasses many diverse academic fields, such as history, medicine, sociology and theology. Individual LibGuides in these disciplines may help you to dig deeper into the available research.
