Asian American Materials in Special Collections: Zoroastrian oral histories
Introduction
The Zoroastrian community in Houston is represented in the archives at Rice University, in the Fondren Library's Woodson Research Center, with oral histories of two varieties:
- one group came directly from the Zoroastrian community, with fellow community members conducting the interviews, and
- one group came from the Chao Center for Asian Studies' program of Houston Asian American Archives (HAAA) Oral Histories, with the interviews conducted by HAAA student interns with the guidance of HAAA faculty.
Interviews by Zoroastrian community members
This group of interviews was conducted by members of the Zoroastrian Association of Houston (ZAH), who interviewed each other with the intent of sharing the interviews publicly by donating them to Rice University's Woodson Research Center.
These interviews are all online (link to the online group as a whole) and are also described in the archival finding aid for the Zoroastrian Association of Houston oral history interviews collection (call # MS 624) which refers to the boxes of printed transcripts and photographs (the physical version of the online interviews) which are available for research in the Woodson Research Center.

The following interviews of members of the Zoroastrian community in Houston were conducted by Chao Center for Asian Studies staff and student interns as part of the Houston Asian American Archives (HAAA) program at Rice University.
They form part of a larger group of HAAA interviews including many ethnic groups, all of which are online and listed on the archival finding aid for HAAA.
