Persee: A program created for the ditigitization of more than 70 scholarly French journals in the humanities and social sciences with controlled open access. Database offers access to the digitized table of contents and abstracts for each journal's issues, ability to browse journals, direct access to the entire article, and option to download a PDF version of articles. Publishers or distributors of print journals may determine how a recent time span (2 to 5 years) elapses before current issues are made available in digital format. Examples of significant journals with full-text access are: Bulletin de Correspondance Hellénique (1877-2003) and Mélanges de l'Ecole française de Rome (1881-2000).
