Visiting Fondren Library
Here are our hours for Rice ID holders this semester.
Bring your ID to enter from the West (Brochstein Pavilion side) entrance during "Rice only" hours (after 10 pm M-F, after 6 pm Sat-Sun). The East (Academic Quad side) entrance is closed after visitor hours.
Finding books in the stacks
Fondren books and journals are shelved by Library of Congress Classification.
Most (but not all!) psychology materials will be classified under BF, on the fourth floor of Fondren.
Be sure to write down or take a picture of the call number of the book you're looking for. There is a "Map It" button on most physical material records in OneSearch to show you an approximate floor, location, and range (shelf) number. Consult our call number guide or maps to match Library of Congress call numbers to locations.
