Welcome back to what is going to feel like a very short spring 2024 semester, as it wraps on Tuesday, April 30th this year!
Classes resumed on January 8th, but then, surprise! A freeze fell upon Houston precisely on Martin Luther King Day. Today (Tuesday), students are either busy catching up on last minute assignments, or catching up on much needed sleep while most of the campus lies dormant and the city holds its collective breath that the power grid remains strong.
Sage Products
Last semester Fondren added several research products from Sage Publishing worth a look from Education department faculty and students. Here are select offerings:
Faculty…would you like me to help create assignments or quizzes via your Canvas page? How about obtaining materials in physical or eBook format for students to read and refer to as supplementary reading for your course? Reach out to me…I can help you!
Do you need your students to watch videos/DVDs for your course?
There are two options!
Digitization: Complete this form and contact your subject librarian to learn what streaming or digitization options may be available for your class.
On-site viewing: Have students borrow the DVD/video and book Room 336 (our new AV media room) for viewing.
The DMC is your one-stop shop for making sure your presentation, poster, podcast or video project looks and sounds great! The team provides hands-on training, assistance with projects, poster printing, and a long list of equipment that may be borrowed. The DMC has both Audio and Photo/Video studios for booking to make sure your work is professional and polished.
