set the Base (Canvas) Resolution to 3840x2160, as the display in the Audio Studio is a 4k monitor
Set output resolution to your desired output. The default is 1280x720, though you may want to use at least 1920x1080
Note: right now the default setting is 6016x3384 for both canvas and output. The external webcam's resolution is 1920x1080. If only the webcam is captured, and the output resolution is not changed to 1920x1080 or lower, the video will look very choppy because of significant upscaling of the video. When the output resolution is lowered close to the webcam's natural resolution, the choppy issue will be gone.
Under Output, change recording format to mp4 and choose where you would like it to save recordings
Create a new Display Capture Video Input
It should automatically identify the display and resolution, but if not, select the display from the dropdown
Make sure that "show cursor" is checked
Set crop to "Crop to Window" and select the window that you would like to capture
Create an Audio Input Capture and set it to "Audient iD44"
This will capture audio from all connected microphones
Minimize OBS and fullscreen the window you plan to capture
By moving your mouse to the top of the screen, you will see a top bar appear with the OBS symbol towards the right of the screen
Click on the OBS symbol and select "start recording"
Once you've recorded your tutorial, go back to the same OBS symbol and select "stop recording"
Making the Cursor More Visible
Adjusting Cursor Size and Color
Open System Preferences and go to Accessibility

Here you can increase the size of the cursor and change the outline and fill colors for the cursor
Capturing Video of Yourself
Setting Up Video Capture in OBS
Create a second scene and add a new Video Capture Device
Set the video input to use the webcam
Resize the video preview as needed
In settings, go to Hotkeys and scroll down to Scene and Scene 2
set Switch to scene for both to whichever keys you would like to use
now you can use the set keys to toggle between scenes while recording
Alternately, you can record picture-in-picture by adding a Video Capture Device to your preexisting scene
You can resize the video and drag it to change the location in the frame
