Teddy and his Friends topical thematic stamp display at London 2022 International Stamp Exhibition
A philatelic exhibition is an exhibition of stamps and postal history where stamp collectors (philatelists) compete for medals. The displays are shown in glass frames. Exhibitions are normally of international, national, regional or local scope and may also be for specific collecting interests. Exhibits are shown in different classes including astrophilately, postal history, thematic philately, traditional philately, and youth philately, among others. Judges award a variety of prizes, including gold, vermeil and silver medals and other prizes as determined by the exhibition officials. (adapted from Wikipedia)
The American Philatelic Society Manual of Philatelic Judging and Exhibiting (7th edition) provides both judges and exhibitors with current guidelines on how to judge or create an exhibit.
