Classical Art & Archaeology
at The Brown Fine Arts Library
Located on the 3rd floor of Fondren Library, the Brown Fine Arts Library contains over 215,000 volumes related to art, architecture, photography, and music. An additional 43,500 volumes are housed in the Library Service Center. Several special collections of art and music may be consulted in the Woodson Research Center.

The fine arts reference collection, books, current and back issues of periodicals are shelved in the Brown Fine Arts Library.
Note: Journals, bibliographies, catalogue raisonnes, museum collections catalogues and many exhibition catalogues do not circulate.
Sound and video recording collections are located at the circulation desk on the first floor.
Course reserve materials are available at the reserves desk on the first floor.
Listening and video equipment is available on both the third and first floors.
New books are on “new books” shelves in the Brown Fine Arts Library and can be browsed through the New Book Lists function in the Fondren Catalog.
Oversized and rare fine arts materials are kept off-campus at the Library Service Center. They may be quickly retrieved using these directions.
