Voter Registration Data (Presidential Election during Covid-19 Pandemic Year)
- Fondren Library continued to offer on site voter registration during the pandemic to meet the historical president election needs during the pandemic.
- Anna Xiong (FDLP Representative) and Amanda Thomas (another Fondren Library VDVR leader) have planned and co-organized safe on site voter registration events.
- We have started our first daily voter registration during the last week before the registration deadline.
- Fondren Library started to call and manage VDVRs beyond Fondren Library's VDVRs.

"2020 Awards and Recognition
The All In Campus Democracy Challenge awarded Rice a Gold Seal for our 2020 student voter participation rates. In the Athletics Awards ceremony, Rice University was the C-USA winner for ‘Highest Voter Registration,’ ‘Highest Voter Turnout,’ and ‘Best Action Plan.’ And student Mason Reece was named to the All In Campus Democracy Challenge Student Honor Roll for his many contributions to campus voting. RICEngaged coalition members also collaborated to host a student-run campus polling location at the Rice football stadium, and received recognition from the Mayor of Houston for their efforts."
Fondren Library served as a key partner and made consistent contribtion in a variety of ways throughout the whole process, from participating in discussing and developing the action plan, creating vdvr@rice.edu as the central email platform to facilitate the communication and coordination of all Rice VDVRs across campus, organizing/co-organizing/supporting voter registration events, educating the voters through displays, complrehensive online research guide on voting and election, to dissinating official voting and election information on site and online through website and social media channels.
