- Archive Collections at the Texas General Land OfficeAlphabetical linked lists of archived collections available at the Texas General Land Office. Filter a search by broad categories (administrative records, maps, etc.) or subjects (colony records, land grant programs, etc.).
- Confederate Pensions (Texas)Interactive form from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission providing "access to an index of names, counties of residence, and pension numbers of some 54,634 approved, rejected, and home pensions issued by the Texas government between 1899 and 1975."
- Handbook of Houston OnlineSpinoff from the Handbook of Texas Online focusing on Houston's diverse cultures, historic events and landmarks, organizations, biographies and leaders, etc. New entries and contributors are being sought.

- Portal to Texas HistoryProvides online access to over 100,000 historical documents, photographs, maps, and publications including local newspapers and college yearbooks.
- TARO: Texas Archival Resources OnlineProvides finding aids for the rich archival, manuscript, and museum collections in repositories across the state. In most cases, the collections themselves are NOT available online.
- Texas State Library and Archives Commission Genealogy ResourcesDescribes indexes to a variety of records that are available in paper or on microfilm in the library. Also includes links to online material including indexes to Republic of Texas claims, Confederate pension applications, and county records.
