Fondren Library's two main digital resources for dramatic arts are Digital Theatre Plus and Drama Online. Both contain rich textual, audio and video resources for stagecraft.
Stagecraft materials in DT+ take the form of interviews, master classes, directors' notes on productions, textual concise introductions, compare & contrast presentations of key speeches, and e-learning videos. Navigate the site using the menus at the top-- title, genres, people, themes, series-- or use the keyword search.
This resource contains ebooks on stagecraft as well as video masterclasses by Steven Berkoff, Ken Rea, Patsy Rodenburg and others.
This guide to stagecraft includes representative titles for the following areas: acting; auditions and portfolios;costume design and makeup; directing; stage design, lighting, and sound; stage management. Most of the stagecraft books are located in the Fondren Library with a smaller collection housed in the Brown Fine Arts Library.
