Web site documents the excavation of two suburban villas and a Late Antique granary/barn east of Rome. Directed by professors Walter Widrig and Philip Oliver-Smith, the excavations shed light on the economic and social changes which took place from the Republic through the Imperial era in the immediate area of the ancient Via Gabina. Records consist of notebooks, catalogues, plans, and drawings are available to the public as archival materials of Fondren Library, Rice University, Houston, Texas.
