Founded in 1890, the Avery Library of Columbia University contains 450,000 volumes, 1,500 current periodicals. It administers a drawing and archives collection of 1,500,000 drawings and original records.
Founded in 1834 by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the collection includes more than 135,000 books, 700+ journals. The Photographs Collection contains 1.5 million images of architecture world-wide.
