"An extensive collection of amateur publications that were written, edited, and published primarily by young people, aged 12-20, during the second half of the 19th century, this one-of-a-kind archive features tens of thousands of issues, and includes editorials, original short fiction, essays, poetry, and more (Gale)."
The Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection (CHNC) currently includes more than 500,000 digitized pages, representing 163 individual newspaper titles published in Colorado from 1859 to 1923. Due to copyright restrictions, CHNC does not generally include newspapers published after 1923.
DLNP contains representative images of the earliest newspaper titles from Louisiana's 64 parishes. The collection focus is on early extant newspapers that are not available through the Library of Congress' Chronicling America site.
As part of the Portal to Texas History, this collection makes available Texas community newspapers (1829-present) digitized in coordination with partner organizations (libraries, universities, historical and genealogical societies, etc.).
